As a fair label, we want to set a good example and show that beautiful, high-quality products can be combined with fair working conditions and fair wages. We regularly visit our suppliers to ensure the quality and fits of the collection and to check working conditions and environmental protection measures. So you can rely on not only receiving a high-quality garment made from great fabrics, but also on fair pay and social working conditions during production.

We only use the finest, softest and non-toxic fabrics and dyes. We use 100% organic cotton for the capsule collection. We manufacture under fair and social conditions in Portugal. We are a small, sustainable label and therefore only produce small quantities so as not to waste resources. Bags that simply feel better in all respects. For NORDLICHT Bags must meet several requirements. A timeless but special design and our main material is cotton canvas. This tightly woven cotton fabric is a traditional fabric for bags; it is tear-resistant and water-resistant. We like the special look and the versatility. For our NORDLICHT We wanted something special when it came to shoe designs. Naturally, fairly and sustainably manufactured in Europe. Long-term partnership
It is important to us that our producers understand our sustainable mission and want to work on it together with us. That's why we've always strived for long-term partnerships since we were founded in 2014. Ethical production is one of our company’s core values. No child labor, living wages and appropriate working conditions are an essential part of our production. Without intermediaries, we work directly with our production facility and not only visit it, but also work together on site to match the right cuts and fabrics, especially at the beginning of our new collections.

We use these criteria to select suitable suppliers with a high level of expertise at different locations. Our producers have various certificates, such as quality management according to ISO 9001, the code of conduct according to BSCI and working conditions according to SA 8000. We regularly personally visit our production partners to ensure compliance with the defined requirements on site.
